Kibbles and Bits (And a Little Weekend Follies Too!)

Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by. And thanks to everyone who took a moment and commented on my blog earlier this week with my nephew Jeremy Tremp. If you haven't seen the post, please take a moment to check it out. He's a very talented young man gifted in many areas. And he designed the cover for BREAKTHROUGH! (okay, I'm having a few formatting problems, so please scroll down ... thanks!)

I'd like to thank Arlee Bird of Tossing It Out, Alex Cavanaugh of his Self Titled Blog, Talli Roland of her Self Titled Blog, and Jen Daiker of Unedited, hosts of the April 2011 A to Z Challenge, for asking me to contribute as a co-host for the event. This is the first Blogfest I've ever been a part of other than being a participant and I'm excited to help in any way I can. Also participating as co-hosts are:

Candace
Ganger at Candyland

Karen
Gowen at Coming Down the Mountain

Jeffrey
Beesler at World of the Scribe

If you have not already visited these blogs, please take a moment to do so and follow them. They're a great bunch of people who have much to offer. And if you have yet to sign up for the blog, I encourage you to do so. It's a great way to meet new people, get acquainted with old friends, and expand your blogging prowess.

Our loft is finished, but the honey do list has just begun. Its apparent the entire house needs a fresh coat of paint, so I'll be busy for the next week or so. I don't mind. I actually like painting. Weird, I know.

And here is a quick three second clip that only the guys at Mystery Science Theatre 3000 could pull off. Enjoy:

What a fun clip. I love MST3K!

Good luck with the painting. I don't mind doing it either. However, I am apparently so bad at it that my significant other would rather just do it himself.

Stephen, so glad to have you and the others joining us to help spread out the work load of commenting etc. I'm sure it will be good for all of us--A to Z Team and A to Z participants as well.

Good to know you're a co- host of the A to Z. looking forward to it.
It was great last year,

Well done on the loft! We're doing a lot of painting at the moment. The harder bit is when I paint an outside door and then it rains - before the paint's dry. Grrr!

Off to do more painting now...

What did he say, something about nuts? :) Congrats on the co-host, I'm signed up.

MJ, I usually YouTube MST3000 once a week or so. Just a clip or two to give me a good laugh.

Arlee, looking for 500 participants this year. I'm thinking really big thoughts.

Kitty, just let it build until you get home LOL!

Anne, amazing what a fresh coat and a change of colors can do for you!

Yvonne, I didn't participate last year but am looking forward to it this time around!

Tony, that's happened to me once. Had to sand the door and repaint it later.

That clip made me grin! Little boy humour...there's nothing like it.

Glad to be co-hosting the A-Z Challenge with you, Stephen!

Now that took some searching to find that clip! Glad you're on board to help with the Challenge. And don't you realize that when you fix any part of the house, the rest of it looks worse and requires work as well?

Stephen Tremp said...

Jules, yep, that's what he said alright.

Jai, definately guy humor in the Austin Powers sense.

Hilary, as always thanks for stopping by.

Jeffrey, likewise!

Alex, that's good advice. Very true.

Oh, and Stephen, I forgot to mention that you have an award awaiting you over at my blog!

I'll be too busy with Rachael Harrie's crusade to take part in the A-Z challenge, but it sure sounds like fun! There's so much going on in Blogworld right now.

I love following blogfests.

I have a blog award for you.

Michelle, it's great to meet you ... thanks for stopping by!

Karen, thanks for checking out Jeremy's post.

Susan, I agree. There are a lot of Blogfests out there. I have to pick and choose mine carefully as they can be time consuming.

Medeia, thans! I'll be right over.

Hi, popped over from "Tossing it Out", I thought I say hello, great to meet you! Looking forward to taking part in the challenge next month.

Nice to start meeting everyone. I'm not sure which will be the greater challenge for me: writing a story everyday, or trying to read 300-400 posts (not to mention commenting). Due to the volume, I was wondering if it would be rude to just leave a "Hi there" for the month of April to let bloggers know I stopped by. I generally try to leave a proper comment, but I'm not sure I'll have the time for it during during the challenge. And since I'm a newbie, I don't want to be treading on toes or appear rude. Honest thoughts, anyone?

Arlee Bird said...

Li -- no way you could get thru all the blogs on a daily basis. Even just saying "hi" would probably take over 8 hours a day assuming your internet connection and computer are fast enough.

My suggestion is to start visiting thru the list now to establish a community of regular blogs that are of greatest interest to you and visit those as much as you can.

Then during the month of April try to drop in as many new blogs as you can fit in each day.

I think some more substantial comments on a lesser number of blogs might be better than a bunch of short greetings on a larger number of blogs.

But it's up to each person to approach this like they want to and I think you will find out pretty quickly what you are capable of.

Good luck!

Steve: Don't know where to put this so I'll try a couple places.

I need to remove my blog from the A to Z bit. A friend, who's a hoarder, just went into Hospice Care, and I'm part of the group organizing the debris.
